The Vancouver Celebration of Lights festival is a three day

fireworks event in Vancouver, BC.


I created a variety of designs ranging from poster, pamphlet,

web, app, merchandise and signage to best showcase this festival.

Work

Process

For this assignment I generated a company persona for a unique annual celebratory event. This consists of using typography, color schemes, logo design, illustrations, layout, and copy that stirs one's senses and creates product desire.

Fun stylized fireworks are implemented to excite the youth and encourage togetherness as families step foot into the event. An organic youthful color scheme includes yellow and green shades to connect to the scenic and outdoorsy aspect of Vancouver, BC.


The information included is limited and not too overwhelming on the eye

for the viewers consumption.

Similar aesthetic choices are used throughout to highlight continuity (color scheme,

type choices and iconography). The iconography specifically helps bring dimension

and a playful feel to the event program.


I decided to separate pages into half dark half light to help communicate and

differentiate the French and English translation.

The easy-to-use app allows users to read up on festival information like event dates,

ticket payment options and an easy to use mobile ticket page.
