What is

Hunni Bunni?

Hunni Bunni was created to provide an online monthly subscription

service that delivers four or five purely vegan and cruelty free premium

beauty related products to its subscribers to bring awareness and promote

ethical responsibility and social narrative against cosmetic animal testing.

Hunni Bunni’s subscribers recognize they can make a social impact and

experience quality beauty items like skin products, perfume, nail care

items and makeup that is based upon users’ preferences.

Basic

Research

Aging is inevitable, and as the data shows people are aware and willing to try and slow the process or the appearance of the process. What this means is that manufacturers will continue to try and innovate new products that potentially they

will want to test on animals.

Hunni Bunni recognizes the controversies surrounding animal testing

and attempts to provide an alternative option.

Work

Process

For this assignment I generated a company persona that advocates animal rights.

This consists of using typography, color schemes, logo design, illustrations, page layouts, and copy that stirs one's senses and creates product desire.

Visual

Essay

By using red lipstick, the audience is told that these cosmetic products should not be tested on animals. The red represents a warning or alarm. The smearing of the lipstick to outline a rabbit disturbs the narrative of a cute, innocent animal, insinuating abuse.

I used the statement:

“Stop the testing, animals don’t use cosmetics”.

Logo

Design

When designing the Hunni Bunni logo, I decided to take a slightly

illustrative approach. The bunny is illustrated using the 'I' in Hunni Bunni

to suggest the eye shape to the bunny designed outline.

I adjusted the typography in illustrator to create the letter at an angle to

further mimic the shape of a bunny's eye.

As for the color scheme, I chose a deep purple color along with two

peachy shades one dark/one light. These colors exude softness,

tenderness, luxury, calmness and tranquility.

Social

Media

The Hunni Bunni’s social media would maintain priority on Instagram.

This application services the consumers best because of the ability

to highlight new products and merchandise as a way of advertisement.

Because of Hunni Bunni’s positive feel, I include positive quotes to

brighten up your day and connect to the fellow followers on a personal level.

Most importantly, I included imagery of animals that are victims of the cruel mistreatment of cosmetic testing. I wanted to convey to users that by taking part in this subscription they are helping a worthy cause; 20% of the proceeds are donated to the Humane Society of the US.

Package

Design

The shipping packages include poppy fun and cute puns to brighten the

consumer’s day when delivered. The makeup pouch would reside inside these

bubble wrapped packages to ensure travel protection to each product.

Each month would include new fun designs on both the shipping

packaging and the makeup pouches.

Website

Design

The Hunni Bunni website includes a multitude of options including:

-Home Page -Animal rights section –Popular items section –Hunni Bunni history

-Beauty Test -What is your skin tone? –What is your eye color? –What is your natural lip color? –Confirmation order & thank you
